The pack, which was available from 6 PM BST last night, offered players the option of trading a FUT Hero item in FIFA 23 Coins , some of which are worth millions of coins for just 25,000 coin.
Although EA made amends around twenty-five minutes after releasing the pack, this didn't stop millions worth of coins in value from disappearing from FIFA Ultimate Team as players were forced to sell the FUT Hero items in a panic, due to the massive influx of inventory.
FUT Hero items are very scarce players and are available in certain packs in Ultimate Team. FUT Hero cards are awarded to players who have been a major contributor to an organization or have become popular for example, like ex- Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung.
Due to the item's rare, they're typically extremely expensive in FIFA 23 Ultimate team's online transfer marketplace with certain items like Yaya Toure being sold on the market for 1.9 million FUT coins which a reputable third-party coin-selling website prices at around PS400.
However, EA accidentally released the pack in error, and then flooded the market with an enormous quantity of the item and saw all of the prices drop rapidly and some customers losing around 1.25 million dollars, around PS200 in the event of purchasing by a third party.
EA is yet to make a comment regarding the error. However, the damage to the market is irreparable. The majority, if not all players have lost value and although the market has been recovering somewhat since the elimination from the pack and in turn, the lack of supplies with FUT 23 buy Coins Hero items, the loss of coins is permanent.
